Lit by Mummy xxxxx 6th December 2013
Hey Baby Girl, Mummy is shattered after a very busy week! It's not over yet though, Daddy and I are running a stall in the Main Square in Shrewsbury tomorrow for Small Business Saturday. I hope it will be very busy and we can sell lots of stock and make some room! Guess what? We've had a tortoiseshell butterfly trying to hibernate for the winter in our bedroom! It's been there since a week last Wednesday when Daddy left me to go shooting in Scotland, I think it must have been you showing me you were with me and watching over me whilst he was gone! On Sunday morning it woke up and actually crawled all the way up my arm in bed, across my chest and onto you!! Faye took some photos with my phone and then she held it for a little while until it fluttered over to the windowsill. Later in the day I gave it some warm cola as a butterfly website said it is a good first aid treatment for butterflies low on energy. It said butterflies which wake from hibernation are at risk of not having enough conserved energy to last until spring as they use too much when they wake. I thought it might help it to make it, and it did drink it! I had to soak a cotton wool ball in it and then squeeze it out on the windowsill until it touched the butterfly's feet (the website said they taste with their feet and then decide to feed) and then it's long feeder uncurled and it dipped it in it the Cola like a straw! It was so lovely to watch, and after that it seemed to go back into hibernation happy :) I saw a quote a few minutes ago which I liked too, it said "For every time I've longed to hold you tight, may a butterfly take flight". Isn't that beautiful? Well I'd best go and join Daddy in bed ready for our early start in the morning as it's late now. I just wanted to tell you about the butterfly, and also tell you that I love you like crazy and I miss you Baby Girl. All my love, hugs and kisses always xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
