I AM WITH YOU, I AM EVERY SUMMER'S DAY I am with you Mummy, please do not cry You know in your heart that I did not die I am with you Daddy, we did not part I'll stay with you always within your heart I am with you Faye, please do not fear Whenever you need me I'll always be near I am with you all, I shall always 'be' For I am all creation, don't you see? I am the wind that howls through the trees And the softest rustle of the gentlest breeze I am the pitter patter of the tearful rain As it beats its music on your windowpane I am the glistening of the falling snow The winter wonderland you wanted me to know I am the crashing waves of the roaring sea I am the birds that circle over mountain peaks I am the butterfly's wings as it takes to flight I am its merry dance, a magical sight I am the beautiful summer sun I am the children playing and having fun I am the wild meadow flowers I am all the pretty horses that graze away the hours I am the salmon that leaps from the riverbed I am the colours of the autumn leaves that are shed I am the flames of your fire burning strong I am its warmth that embraces you when all feels wrong I am in the stars that twinkle at night I am the one that shines so big and bright You can't see that I am with you through the darkness your grief brings But please open your eyes, for I am all of these things I love you Mummy, Daddy, and Faye Always know, that I am every Summer's Day Poem 2 of 2 written by Lucy, Summer Ruby's Mother, especially for her Funeral Service on Friday 25th January 2013, as Summer Ruby's words of comfort to us just before her Commendation to the Angels.
