On Friday 11th January 2013, Summer Ruby had a special visitor in the Chapel of Rest; her big Sister Faye. We are so proud of how Faye handled meeting her baby Sister, she took it all in her stride and was just so happy to meet her. She beamed the whole time. She stroked her face, she kissed her cheeks and her forehead, she held her hand, and she laughed at the way Summer Ruby's mouth was open, in the same way that Faye snores as she sleeps. It didn't seem to matter to Faye that Summer Ruby was unable to give anything back, she loved her anyway. Faye got to hold her baby Sister and have the most special cuddle, and we got lots of precious photographs of them together, and of us all as a family, the way it should have been. Faye gave Summer Ruby a little chick of hers called Chirpy, which chirped when she squeezed it. It is in her moses basket with her. It was perfect, and will remain with her when she goes. Summer Ruby will always be a part of Faye's life, she will always be her baby Sister. We will ensure that Faye grows up to remember her always, and we hope that this Memorial Site will help her to do just that.
