"I carried you all of your life, and I'll love you all of mine"
Mummy has been missing you this week Baby Girl, and thinking about you loads. Your baby Sister's pending arrival must be on my mind more than I realise as I have been having nightmares in the last week or so and they are mixed with both of you, the worst one I had was when I dreamt that we lost her but all the details were very similar to when we lost you, it was horrible and I woke up sobbing in bed.
We had another scan on Wednesday and everything seems to be fine though, so nothing to worry about. She is growing well and the cord blood flow is good. She wouldn't keep still for the scan at all, she made it very hard work for our consultant poor woman! I had a chocolate bar just before it so we put it down to that, but then Daddy told me when we came out that the travel coffee he had made me wasn't decaf either so it's no wonder she was bouncing of the walls!!
She is measuring well and is above the middle line on the charts, which means she's just above the middle of normal for size and weight at this stage. You were just above the bottom line on the 15th centile when you were born so there's quite a difference.
She has doubled in weight since our last scan four weeks ago, she now weighs about 2lb 6.6oz!! We couldn't see her as clearly on this scan as we could on the last one at 24 weeks as she is bigger and the scan can only pick up so much of her at once, Daddy was hoping for better photos but I like what we have. Once of them shows her head and neck, spine and heart (I like it because I can see her heart) and the other shows her limbs, just her legs and a fist getting ready to punch me!!
We have the next growth scan in 4 weeks time at 31.5 weeks, on 22nd October.
She's been very active for the last couple of weeks, on the go all day every day, but I like her that way as it's reassuring.
I'm not sleeping very well lately, partly due to the nightmares, partly as my mind is so active when I wake up so then I can't get back to sleep, and also partly because I won't lie in any other position than on my left hand side as that's the optimum position where she'll get the most oxygen and nutrients so sometimes it can get uncomfortable after a while.
I'm falling asleep as I write this now though so perhaps I will sleep tonight.
