Christmas without You
There are no lights twinkling merrily
Nor any tinsel on a tree
To sit there in the window
For all the world to see.
Our house has no wreath of holly
Nor pinecones to scent the air
The Christmas cards keep coming
But they are not hung with care.
The gifts aren't tied with ribbons red
Or topped with pretty bows
I’m done with all the details
As far as Christmas goes.
The fire is softly glowing

Christmas isn’t Christmas

To wake up in the morning
